Appliance Generates Strong Steam at First Use, or After a Power
Outage/Reset
Cause:
Automatic altitude adjustment. After the first cooking process at 212°F and as part
of the descaling process, the boiling temperature is automatically adjusted to the
altitude of the location.
Remedy:
None needed.

Appliance Appears to be Incorrectly Installed

Symptom:
The hose clamp (Figure 040-2, Item 1) is positioned on the middle of the hose.

Cause:
No error. The hose clamp serves as kink prevention. The hose clamp prevents
kinks that get into the hose at this point, which would reduce the diameter of
the hose. The clamp is not meant to keep the hose in place.
Remedy:
None. Leave the hose clamp in its position.

Steam Generator is Discolored

Symptom:
Steam generator and insert are discolored yellow.
Cause:
Light exposure. This is only a cosmetic problem. Quality and function of the
steam generator are not diminished.
Remedy:
To avoid this, do not expose the steam generator to daylight for longer periods
of time.
