• Any extended metal running vertically through the structure should be bonded to the
NTS
lightning downconductor at the top and bottom of the structure.
• Each downconductor should be connected to the earthing system.
• Where practical, all structural steel and metallic reinforcement in the structure should
be bonded to the downconductor system at recommended intervals as per international
standards.
