It must be sufficient for any type of work: assembly, preventive and corrective maintenance. It must
allow a good view of the equipment when opened (access to wires and rear panels). The required
minimum level of lighting is 300 lux at 0.75m from the ground.
The lighting equipment will be incandescent lamp or possibly parasite-resistant fluorescent tube. In
any case, it should not generate electrostatic interferences.
Fire detector:
A smoke detector associated with an alarm system has to be setup and must allow manual
intervention. The recommended extinguisher is halogenated hydrocarbon. A fire foam and water
(spray) should not be used.
Climatic conditions:
The required climatic conditions are as follows:
Temperature
Humidity
Pressure
If these conditions are not compliant by default in some locations, an installation of air-conditioning
systems must be faced.

5.7.1.3 Space

There must be enough space to fix the cabinet on the wall (Aastra XS only) or install it in:
•
a rack (19inch cabinet, if not pre-installed)
•
a work table for peripheral equipment.
For installation in a rack, the rack must have enough space to install the external backup battery.
For future expansion of the Aastra, it is advisable to reserve available space in the rack for a
second/third cabinet.

5.7.1.4 Electrical power supply

At the installation premises, include one socket dedicated to each cabinet, and a socket for the
administration tool.
Each socket must support:
•
the rated voltage of 230V AC (or 115V, depending on the type of installation), 50Hz / 60Hz
•
a current of 10/16 A
•
a third, grounding conductor for protection against electrical discharges and shock, and to
prevent electromagnetic interference.
The power outlets installed must comply with standard NFC-15100.
