User-friendly start-up and administration

As the Call distribution services are part of the Aastra 5000 software, they are very easy to install and
setup: No hardware intervention is required. Moreover, the voice mailboxes (IVB) are automatically
created. A Windows interface makes the creation and modification of the integrated voice server (IVS)
easy and fast. A catalogue of predefined announcements is already pre-configured.
All these services are managed remotely by means of a secured, web access (HTTPS). The functions
are started up and configured remotely via the Aastra Management Portal or AM7450.
Moreover, all announcements (synchronous, asynchronous, IVR) can be downloaded as *.wav files.
The announcements can be listened from an Aastra Management Portal via a PC or from a TDM or IP
terminal.
5.5.4

Capacity of the functions integrated into the Aastra range

It is possible to display and optimise the capacities of some memory spaces.
To meet the high capacity requirements on the IVB, the Compact Flash memory hosting the Aastra
software and on which all the IVB messages and IVR announcements will be stored must be a 2GB
(Swissbit) card, commercially available with R5.3, on AXS6/AXS12/AXS/AXL/AXD.

5.5.4.1 New 4GB Compact Flash

To meet important needs in terms of storage capacity for the Gateway and the IP/SIP terminals
software, announcements, IVR, voicemail, pictures and the LDAP directory, a new 4GB Compact
Flash Card is available with R5.4.
This new 4GB CF card is:

Mandatory and present in new sales on AXL, AXD (and A500)
•
Mandatory on AXS, AXS12 and AXS6 for configurations of more than 100 users (option
imposed via Aastra Plan for more than 100 users).

Optional on AXS, AXS12 and AXS6 for configurations up to 100 users (option selectable via
Aastra Plan). If the option is not selected, it is the 2GB CF card that is provided.
