Using as a Remote Controller
Function
Press this button to switch the
screen display of the XDCAM
between the full screen display
and the time code display.
(Some models do not have this
function.)
Press this button
simultaneously with the SET
(ENTRY) button to enter the IN
point. The button lights up.
If you press this button when
this button is lit, the IN point is
displayed.
If you press this button
simultaneously with the RESET
(GO TO/SPLIT IN) button when
this button is lit, the setting of
the IN point is canceled.
Use for setup menu settings,
scene selection settings
(thumbnail search), and so on.
Press this button
simultaneously with the SET
(ENTRY) button to enter the
OUT point. The button lights up.
If you press this button when
this button is lit, the OUT point
is displayed.
If you press this button
simultaneously with the RESET
(GO TO/SPLIT IN) button when
this button is lit, the setting of
the OUT point is canceled.
Records the IN and OUT points
you have entered as a sub clip.
In the thumbnail window, adds
the selected clip to the clip list
as a sub clip.
(During recording or playback)
Press this button
simultaneously with the SET
(ENTRY) button to record a shot
mark 1 as an essence mark.
Use to cancel the IN/OUT
points, setup menu settings, or
scene selection operation and
so on.
Press this button to play back
according to a clip list. The
button lights up. To cancel this
mode, press this button again,
turning it off.
If you press this button when
the THUMBNAIL button is lit,
the clip list is displayed in the
thumbnail display and this
button lights up.
Key Display Function
PF11 THUMBNAIL Press this button to use the
(VIDEO) thumbnail search function or to
create a clip list. The button
lights up, and thumbnail images
representing each clip or sub
clip appear. Press this button
again to return to the whole
screen display.
ESSENCE Press this button
MARK simultaneously with the SHIFT
(A4) button to display the
essence mark selection screen.
This button lights up. To quit the
essence mark selection screen,
press the RESET (GO TO/
SPLIT IN) button.
PF12 CLIPMENU Press this button to display the
(A1) CLIP menu. To quit the CLIP
menu, press this button again.
(Supported devices: PDW-
1500, PDW-F75)
DISC MENU If you press this button while
pressing the SHIFT (A4) button,
this button lights and the
DISCMENU screen appears.
Pressing the button again and
turning off the light returns you
to full screen display.

HR1)
PF13 CHAPTER Press this button to display the
(A2) essence mark recorded in the
selected clip in the thumbnail
window.
For details, refer to the
Operation Manual of the
connected device.

PF14 EXPAND Press this button to display the
(A3) selected clip divided into 12
blocks as a thumbnail
image.The selected clip can be
divided up to three times.

Operation Manual of the
connected device.
(Some models do not have this
function.)
PF15 SHIFT Use to switch the functions of
(A4) various buttons.
PREVIEW – The PF1 to PF15 keys will
function differently if they are
pressed simultaneously with
this key.
REW – Functions as the PREV button.
FF – Functions as the NEXT button.
