1 If a phone number appears as an underlined link, tap the number.
This displays the dial pad with the number already entered.
2 Tap to dial.
3 If prompted, tap one of the following:
Bluetooth: Make the call using a connected smartphone.
Skype or other video calling account name: Make the call using
Skype or the video calling account.
In Messaging, you can dial a contact from a conversation by tapping
or the IM account name in the upper-right corner of the screen to open a
list of phone numbers you have for that contact, and then tapping
to the number you want to call.

Receive calls

You can answer incoming video calls, or incoming calls to a connected
smartphone, directly on your device.
You can pick the ringtone for incoming calls (see
ringtones folder as a ringtone). This can be different from the ringtone on
a connected smartphone.

If a call comes in to a connected smartphone, an incoming call
notification appears on your device. To answer the call, do one of the
following:
• Tap .
• If a headset is attached, press the button on the headset.
• If the device is placed on an HP Touchstone (sold separately), simply lift
the device off the Touchstone to automatically answer the call.
If you miss a call, a notification appears at the top of the screen. Tap the

notification to open the missed call dashboard item. On the dashboard item,
tap the name or number to call the person back, or tap the icon on the left to
open your call history (see View your call
Silence the ringer on an incoming call
When you silence the ringer on an incoming call, you can answer the call
or let it ring through to voicemail. Silencing the ringer on your device
does not silence the ringer on a connected smartphone.
Do one of the following:
• Press the power button.
• Press volume.
