4. Remove and replace the temperature sensor when necessary.
3.11.1.2 Testing the Temperature Sensor and Cable
1. Remove the temperature sensor cable from its protective sleeve.
2. Disconnect the cable and Connect probes to the Temperature Sensor Cable's
3. Measure resistance: it should be approximately 1,000 Ω.
4. Open and close the Top Housing while checking for an intermittent cable problem.
Readings should not fluctuate during this test.
5. If resistance and flex tests (3 & 4 above) are OK, the Temperature Sensor is good.
If not, replace the cable or sensor.
