8.4 Crankcase Breather

8.4.1 Oil mist fine separator – Replacement
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.
Special tools, Material, Spare parts
Designation / Use
Torque wrench, 4–20 Nm
Engine oil
Oil mist fine separator
Sealing ring
Locknut
Washer
WARNING
Oil is hot.
Oil can contain residue/substances which are harmful to health.
Risk of injury and poisoning!
• Allow the product to cool to below 50 °C before beginning work.
• Wear protective clothing, protective gloves and goggles/safety mask.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Do not inhale oil vapor.
Oil mist fine separator – Re-
placement
1. Remove line (1) from oil heat exchanger.
2. Remove pipe clamps (2).
3. Remove screws with washers (4).
4. Remove diaphragm housing (3).
