7.1 Troubleshooting
Engine does not turn when starter is actuated
Cause
Battery/UltraCaps low or
defective
Cable connections faulty
Starter: plant starter controller or
starter faulty
Engine wiring defective
Engine / generator control:
Assemblies or plug-in connections
loose
Engine governor: Plug-in
connections loose
Barring tool installed
Running gear blocked (engine
cannot be barred manually)
Engine transport locking device
installed
External transport locking device
installed
External cranking lock activated
Engine turns but does not fire

Engine too cold
