AWG. If you purchase an upgrade or plug-in after you've received your instrument, you may need to install a license key to activate the feature. Use the Install Licenses dialog box to enable the upgrades that you purchased from Tektronix for your instrument.
Install a new license Before starting this procedure, place the new license key (received from Tektronix) in a location you can access from the instrument. This can be anywhere on the instrument's C: drive or available networks. You can also use a USB flash drive to store your license.
Floating licenses display the expiration date for that application. The expiration date for a floating license is defined when the license is checked out from the Tektronix Asset Management system. After the license expires, the application is automatically disabled and the license on the TekAMS is free to be assigned to a different host.
