Configuration control and control data record
Operating principle
You can use the configuration control to operate different real configurations (options) with a
single configuration of the ET 200MP distributed I/O system. This is made possible by a
configurable assignment of configured station modules to actually existing ones.
We distinguish between the following procedures:
● Configuring configuration control without empty slots (option handling)
● Expanding configuration (step-by-step commissioning)
Requirements
Enable the "Configuration control" parameter during configuration for this
f unction. Control
takes place with control data record 196 to specify the required configuration.
Configuration control is not ready for operation without control data record:
● All I/O modules of the ET 200MP distributed I/O system fail (substitute value behavior, if
configured).
● The interface module continues to exchange data.
