    Structural & mounting components should be kept dry, clean, lubricated (only if recommended), coated properly, and otherwise maintained in a manner consistent with part design. Barco products must be used in a manner consistent with their design and inspected on a routine basis for security, wear, deformation, corrosion and any other circumstances that may affect the load handling capability of the part.

    The support structure consists of at least 3 vertical I-beams(each one I-beam bottom should have one small support for standing the display)which are equally spread over the length of the DB-220 display. The supply of the I-beams and how the I-beams have to be mounted in the ground, on a wall or on a pole is the responsibility of the customer.

    • A: Support structure. Provided by the customer. • B: Display segments. The DB-220 display consists of two display segments. • C: Remote enclosure. The remote enclosure can consist in a digitizer, compact link, rugged PC, embedded PC, modem,... and other peripherals. All these peripherals are mounted inside a 19” rack covered in an IP55 rated cabinet.

    Introduction The DB-220 display consists of two segments which are the basic building blocks of the display. The two segments of the DB-220 display are different from each other. So, each segment has its own place in the display. The two display segments must be assem- bled together to form one big display.

    DB-220 display on the support structure. For the successful assembly of the DB-220 display, a minimum of 3 vertical I-beams each using 6 clamps is required. To answer to different vertical mounting distances, the clamps are mounted into a rail system inside the DB-220 display structure.

    RMS-1 control Software General The RMS-1 control software is designed as a graphic user interface (GUI) and can be used to control and configure the digitizer as well as the Barco LED wall via a PC.   • Page 26: Ambient Environment Controller (Aec-4000)

    The control of the AEC is integrated into the software of the control software (See User Guide of RMS-1). AEC-4000 has been specially developed to be integrated to the DB-220 display. The AEC-4000 may be incorporated to a Barco LED-wall, measuring the environmental light conditions throughout the day.

    Introduction A camera can be installed upon an arm in front of the DB-220 display to monitor the DB-220 display. A camera server, mounted inside the cabinet of the remote enclosure, is required to secure communication between the camera and the equipment cabinet.

    4. Physical installation of the DB-220 Display Lifting out and preparing the top segment This procedure describes how to lift out the top segment from the cage and prepare it for assembly on a support structure using 3 vertical I-beams.

    Lifting out and preparing the DB-220 display This procedure describes how to lift out the DB-220 display from the cage and prepare it for assembly on a support structure using 3 vertical I-beams. In the first procedure, the clamps and the AEC-4000 are sup- pressed in the illustrations.
