Problem
You notice that
unauthorised per-
sons have accessed
your data/comput-
ers.
Some steps are not
appropriate, the
problem still exists.
Possible cause
The repeater configu-
ration of the Gigaset
WLAN Repeater 108
or your access point is
wrong.
The radio channel of
the Gigaset WLAN
Repeater 108 does
not correspond to the
radio channel of the
access point.
The security precau-
tions are inadequate.
New firmware may
be available for the
Gigaset WLAN
Repeater
Remedy

Make sure that the correct access
point has been selected on your
Gigaset WLAN Repeater 108 and the
correct Gigaset WLAN Repeater 108
on your access point (see page 47)
or read the corresponding chapter in
your access point's manual). Make
sure that you use the MAC address
to identify the devices when there
several devices with the same SSID.

Make sure that the radio channels
on the devices are the same (see
page 51) or read the corresponding
chapter in your access point's man-
ual).

Boost your security precautions. To
find out how to do this, please read
Chapter "Local Network" on
page 47.

Download the new firmware from

load it onto your device (see
