Drain Pump/Cleanout

The drain pump is designed to extract water from
the tub before going into spin. While the basket is
spinning, the pump will continue pumping water
out that has been extracted from the items being
washed. The pump consists of a 120 VAC, 60 Hz
motor, impeller, impeller housing, and a removable
strainer that helps prevent foreign objects from
entering the pump impeller and drain outlet.
Drain Pump/Cleanout Removal
1. Remove water from the tub. If the water cannot
be drained through the drain hose, utilize an
external water pump.
2. Remove the rear access panel by removing the
four Phillips head screws securing it the cabinet.
3. Disconnect the wire connectors and the drain
inlet hose from the pump.

NOTE: Be sure to have something to catch excess
water left in the tub when disconnecting the drain
pump hose.
5. Remove the three Phillips 1/4 inch hex head
screws that secure the pump/cleanout to the
cabinet and lift the pump out.
6. Remove from the cabinet.
Reinstalling Cleanout into Pump
When reinstalling the cleanout into the pump, be
sure to line up the tab with the slot in the pump.
NOTE: When reinstalling pump hoses to the pump or
tub, apply a thin coat of sealing compound (Part #:
