4-8. Crankcase Cover (R.H.)
A. Removal
1) Remove the kick crank mount!ng bolt and the
crank.

Remove the pan head screws holding the crank-
case cover, and then remove the case cover.

can be removed without taking off
the oil pump).

Crank Cover (R.H.)
Remove the crankcase cover gasket. Replace
it, if damaged.

8. Installation
Spread YAMAHA Bond No.5 over the mating surface
of the crankcase R. Place the crankcase cover gasket
on the crankcase and apply Yamaha Bond No.5 and
replace the crankcase cover R. Be sure to aprilv
YAMAHA Bond No.5 to the mating surface. other•
wise, the oil will leak.
Note: When installing the crankcase cover (R), make
sure that the pump drive gear (made from
synthetic resin) is correctly engaged with the
primary drive gear.
