Setting the Fault Action

By default, when communications are disrupted (e.g., a serial cable is
disconnected) and control I/O is being transmitted, the converter and
connected SCANport product respond by faulting. You can set the
following actions:
Action
Fault
Zero data
Hold last state The SCANport product continues in its present state after a

default, this parameter faults the SCANport product. You can set this
parameter so that the SCANport product continues to run. Precautions
should be taken to ensure that the setting of this parameter does not
create a hazard of injury or equipment damage.
To change the fault response configuration
1. In the main menu
2. Press ↑ or ↓ to scroll to P4 - [Comm Flt Action].

Press the UP ARROW or DOWN ARROW key to scroll
through the parameter list. Press the LEFT ARROW or
RIGHT ARROW key to modify parameter values. Press
the ENTER key to save a new value.
