WATTrouter Mx - user manual
Digital temperature sensors do
not work
The TEST button cannot be used
to switch on some of the
connected loads
Outputs do not switch on as they
should
How to fit and setup the device
Regulator failure/defect
Incompatible sensor
Wrong connection
DQ data bus too long
Sensor bad
DQ input failure
The relevant load is not
connected or it is
connected incorrectly
The load is connected
correctly but cannot be
switched on
Output LED is defect or
there is another regulator
defect
Output is not activated
PV-plant does not provide
sufficient power output
the sensor type. Measure the sensor
resistance and voltage at the ANDI terminal
against the GND terminal. For NTC, the
resistance must be about 10 kΩ at 25 °C,
the voltage approx. 1.67 V. For PT1000, the
resistance of approx. 1100 Ω at 25 °C,
voltage approx. 0.35 V.
Replace the regulator or take it to repair.
Use only compatible sensor with original
chip inside (DS18B20 or DS18S20).
Connect according to the connection
information on the sensor. Do not connect
sensors where this information is missing.
Always connect in 3-wire way (i.e. with
power supply)
Shorten the bus, test the sensors one at a
time. If they operate individually but all at a
time not, the DQ bus capacity is too high. In
this case, you can also try adding a 4k7
resistor between the DQ terminal and the
+5V terminal.
The sensor may be damaged, measure the
sensor power consumption (from terminal
+5V) with a milliammeter, the input current
should match the sensor specification, i.e.
max. 2mA. A faulty sensor sometimes has
an increased power consumption and is
warming up (this is not a rule). If there are
more sensors on the sensor bus, try one at
a time and identify the faulty sensor.
This is not probable but possible, especially
if the sensors work on a different device.
Replace the regulator or take it to repair.
Check the connection of the relevant load
and switch on the corresponding circuit
breaker or fuse switch.
Check whether the load is fitted for
example with a thermal protection system
or a thermostat, which is currently off.
Replace the regulator or take it to repair.
Activate the output by setting the relevant
priority.
Check whether there is enough surplus
energy available in respective phase wire or
sum of phases L1 + L2 + L3 is positive,
