To locate the information you need, simply locate the procedure in the index, turn to the page specified, and follow the procedure.

    Service Procedure Side Sensor Removal Procedure- Disconnect the VORAD Side Sensor Harness. Remove the Side Sensor from the bracket. Disconnect Harness Remove Side Sensor from Side Sensor from Bracket Side Sensor Side Sensor VORAD Harness Remove the four (4) mounting capscrews that secure the Side Sensor to the mounting bracket.

    Disconnect the Antenna Harness from the Antenna Remove the four (4) mounting capscrews. Assembly.     Service Procedure Antenna Assembly Installation Procedure- Install the Antenna Assembly onto the bumper or the Antenna Assembly mounting plate. Install the four (4) mounting capscrews and tighten prop- erly. Note: Specific torque values vary according to OEM cap- screw usage. Reconnect the Antenna Harness with dielectric grease on the connection.

    Remove the backing from the adhesive tape on the Driver Driver Display Unit and attach to the mounting bracket (provided screws can also be used). Reconnect the VORAD Harness to the Driver Display Unit. Final Check Make sure the Driver Display Unit is securely mounted.

    Note the orientation of the Central Processing Unit as indicated by the arrow located on the Central Processing Unit. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the VORAD Harness 32-way connector from the Central Processing Unit. Disconnect the Central Processing Unit ground strap. Remove the four (4) mounting capscrews.

    Final Check Make sure the Central Processing Unit orientation is correct. Make sure the mounting screws are tightened properly. Make sure the Central Processing Unit ground strap retaining nut is tightened properly. Make sure the VORAD Harness is connected and locked.

    Service Procedure Vertical Alignment The recommended Antenna Assembly alignment is down .5° from vertical. The Antenna Assembly aim angle can be mea- sured by a digital level which is held against the face of the Antenna Assembly. Slightly loosen the four (4) screws, using a 5/32" (4 mm) allen wrench, that attach the Antenna Assembly to its mounting bracket.
