CLEANING THE BOILER
• Remove any deposits from the heat exchanger using a suitable soft brush. Do not use a brush with metallic bristles.
• Check the condition of the combustion chamber insulation panels. Any damaged panels must be replaced.
• Check the condition of the burner injector on the manifold, carefully clean it with a soft brush if necessary. Do not use a brush
with metallic bristles as this might damage the injector.
• Remove any fallen deposits from the bottom of the inner case.
• Clean the burner with a soft brush and check that the flame ports are clear. Blockages may be removed with a stiffer brush.
• Check the condition of the electrodes.
• Check the spark gap, positioning and height of the electrodes.
• Check that the fan impeller is clean and free to rotate.
13.2.1
DRAINING THE BOILER
Turn the boiler off, isolate the electrical supply and close the boiler gas service cock. Allow the boiler to cool.
• Heating circuit
Close the central heating flow and return valves.
Connect a suitable pipe to the drain point and route it to a suitable container. Open the drain tap.
Note:
Some water will remain in the components and care must be taken when removing them.

THERMAL FUSE/ HEAT EXCHANGER REPLACEMENT
(Only for model LUNA DUO-TEC 1.110)
The thermal fuse is positioned on the rear of the heat exchanger as shown in the figure below. It is electrically connected in
series with the safety thermostat. Its function is to protect the heat exchanger from overheating in case of insulation failure. If the
thermofuse is to open the error E12 will display on the screen. If the thermofuse is to open, the heat exchanger in it's entirety must
be replaced.
