10.2 ACCESSORIES

10.2.1 CONNECTING THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT (OPEN THERM)
The boiler is fitted with a standard OpenTherm connection.
• As a result, modulating OpenTherm controllers can be connected
without further modifications (Room, weather-dependent and cascade
controllers). In the case of a room thermostat: Install the room
thermostat in a room that is frequently occupied (i.e. the living room).
• Connect the two thermostat wires to the ON/OFF-OT terminals on the
control board.
NOTICE
If the DHW temperature can be set on the OpenTherm controller,
then the boiler will supply the set temperature. In this case the set
value on the boiler will become the maximum DHW temperature
the controller can be set to.
10.2.2 CONNECTION THE ON-OFF THERMOSTAT
The boiler is suitable for connection to a 2 wire ON/OFF room thermostat
(RT).
• Install the room thermostat in a room that is frequently occupied (i.e.
the living room).
• Connect the 2 wire 24V room thermostat to the ON/OFF-OT terminals
of the boilers control board connection.
Note: The ON/OFF-OT terminals are a dry set of contacts and do not
supply 24V to the thermostat.
NOTICE
If a room thermostat with an anticipator is used, parameter P5 must
be adjusted.
This boiler is not suitable for a Nest type thermostat without an external
AC power supply.
10.2.3 OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Outdoor temperature sensors are available as an accessory for the boiler. Where there is an on/off thermostat, the boiler will
control the temperature with the set point of the internal heating curve.

NOTICE
An OpenTherm controller can also use this outdoor temperature sensor. If this is the case the heating curve must be
set on the OpenTherm controller.
