Information for dentistry:
It is indispensable for the gold fillings' final processing. By polishing surfaces like inlays and crowns is
posible to see small contacts between the opposite teeth without discrepancies of interdental
materials. The tarnished surface of the cast shows imprints of colour or carbon ribbon with superior
accuracy. After the correction the surfaces can be polished again and the process can be repeated
until reaching the desired result.
Use:
For universal work: Use clean, dry pressure air with 2 up to 2,8 bar. Water, oil and other impurities
should be removed from the pressure air using a corresponding filter if you want to reach a
satisfactory performance. After closing the blasting abrasive more air flow will leak from the conduction
path. This comes from the remaining air pressure in the cup.
1. Connect the air hose to the filter housing.
2. Unscrew the lid.
3. Fill the cup with abrasive material up to ¾, screw tight the lid.
4. To avoid leaks make sure that the abrasive material does not reach the edge of the cup.
5. To work on paper adjust the air pressure to 2 bar. If you work on metal, gold fillings, plastic or
glass regulate the air pressure to 3,1 up to 4, 7 bar.
6. Hold the Air Eraser as if you were holding a pencil. Move the Air Eraser with the tip about 3 up to
12 mm over the working surface. Change the distance according to the desired result.
7. Set the adjusting knob to a low amount of abrasive material to avoid unnecessary consumption.
8. To work fast use hard abrasive material and high air pressure. Get the abrasive tip closer to the
working surface to work faster. Keep a minimum distance to allow the air/blasting agent mixture
and the jet spreading.
Compressors:
The compressors 189 and 196 can be used with the HS-178 Air Eraser up to 40 psi.
