INTRODUCTION

1. MAIN FEATURES

Control for 4 monitoring cameras
This digital video recorder can record images from four
monitoring cameras onto an internal hard disk.
Upgrade to large-capacity hard disk upgrade
available
Up to two, 300 GB hard disks can be installed.
Offers a long, continuous recording time of 336 hours or
more with a 120 GB hard disk installed (standard image
quality). Recording time varies depending on the size of the
hard disk installed.
Protect data with mirroring
When two hard disks of the same size are installed,
mirroring can be used to protect your data.
Complete range of recording/playback
functions
You can play back and record images at the same
time.
You can record and play back audio.
The timer record function lets you make recordings at
different times each day. ( P.16)
Images from four cameras can be displayed on a
single monitor, in the quad screen.
The automatic channel switching function
(SEQUENCE) lets you display the images from each
channel on a single screen sequentially, or display
just the desired image on a single screen.

The motion sensor function allows you to
automatically record images containing movements
of intruders or others.
Search function - lets you instantly display the
desired video ( P.22)
Search in order of alarm occurrence.
Search by date and time.
Security lock function – lets you restrict users,
for data and equipment management ( P.55)
Expandability and PC connection
The LAN terminal lets you connect the digital video
recorder to a network, for remote operation/remote
monitoring using a PC.
Network connection lets you control up to 4000 DVRs
(digital video recorder) using up to 8 PCs.*
Can be connected to a system controller (sold
separately) using the RS-485 terminal.
A CD-R/RW drive or CompactFlash card reader can
be connected using the USB port. Recorded videos
can be copied to external media, and menu data can
be transferred to multiple DSR-M814 digital video
recorders using external media.
* VA-SW81LITE Ver.2 (supplied) or VA-SW814 Ver.2
(sold separately) software is required. (Some
functions are not available with VA-SW81LITE Ver.2.)
