Instructions for cleaning inside of the JDF-4D cabinet and pumps.
The following instructions are to be followed if a spill has occurred inside the cabinet and the pumps need to be
cleaned.
1. Unload product from the cabinet.
a) Lift pump lever to the right and leave in a vertical position.
b) Remove dispense nozzle, tubing and container of product
from each station. Store product in a refrigerated location
while cleaning machine.
2. Remove pump motor covers
a) Four latches hold the pump motor housing to the mounting plate. Turn latches a quarter turn
toward the right of the dispenser.
b) Pull the housing off of the mounting plate. There is a blue bushing on the pump rotor or inside
the pump housing. Save this bushing for reinstallation later.
c) Remove rotor assembly by pulling directly off the shaft.
3. Wash the pump housing and rotor assembly with warm soapy water and dry.
4. If needed, wipe the pump mounting plate with a towel soaked in warm soapy water, then wipe clean with
a damp towel.
5. Wipe out the cabinet with a damp cloth as needed. Avoid getting water into the fan in the back of the
cabinet.
6. Put rotor back onto the shaft with the hex-shaped hole facing out. Replace the blue bushing with flange
toward rotor.
7. Reassemble pump housings to dispenser. Lock into place by turning all of the latches a quarter-turn
toward the left.
8. Follow the loading instructions to load product into the machine.
