If you experience
Temperature and Moisture
Temperature is too warm.
Temperature is too cold in the
refrigerator/crisper.
Temperature is too cold in the
temperature controlled drawer.
There is interior moisture build-
up.
NOTE: Some moisture build-up
is normal.
There is frost/ice build-up in the
freezer compartment.
TROUBLESHOOTING
First try the solutions suggested here to possibly avoid a service call.
Possible Causes
The refrigerator has just been
installed.
The controls are not set
correctly for the surrounding
conditions.
The door(s) are opened often
or not closed completely.
Allows warm air to enter
refrigerator.
A large load of food was
recently added.
Demo mode is on.
Holiday mode is on.
The refrigerator air vent(s)
are blocked.
The controls are not set
correctly for the surrounding
conditions.
The control is not set
correctly for the items stored
in drawer.
The room is humid.
The door(s) are opened often
or not closed completely.
Allows humid air to enter the
refrigerator.
The door(s) are blocked
open.
A bin or shelf is in the way.
Storing liquid in open
containers.
The door is opened often or
left open.
The door has poor door seal. Ensure door seals are making full contact with the refrigerator
Temperature controls are not
set correctly.
Solution
Allow 24 hours following installation for refrigerator to cool
completely.
Adjust the controls a setting colder. Check the temperature in 24
hours. See the "Using the Controls" section.
Minimize door openings and keep doors fully closed.
Allow several hours for refrigerator to return to normal temperature.
Turn off the Demo mode. See the "Using the Control" section.
Turn off the Holiday mode. See the "Using the Control" section.
If the air vent located in the middle rear of the fresh food
compartment is blocked by items placed directly in front of it, the
refrigerator will get too cold. Move items away from the air vent.
Adjust the controls a setting warmer. Check the temperature in 24
hours. See the "Using the Controls" section.
Adjust the temperature setting. See the "Using the Controls" in the
"Refrigerator Use" section.
A humid environment contributes to moisture build-up.
Minimize door openings and close doors completely.
Move food packages away from door.
Push bin or shelf back into the correct position.
