Wipe dry. IMG-231552 Take the template from the kit and cut it along the dotted lines.

Rotate the connector for the front engine block heater socket so that the cover opens backwards (Illustration B). Plug the electrical connector into the front engine block heater socket.

Deburr the hole edges, remove the drill swarf and apply rustproofing agent.

IMG-279168 Remove the retaining clip which holds the plug in the coolant pipe on the right-hand side above the drive shaft. Note! There is a large quantity of coolant in the system so position a receptacle under the engine.

Check that the heater is fitted securely. Turn the heater so that it is clear of the surrounding components.

Then press a locking sleeve from the kit over the joint. IMG-330258 Illustrations A and B Pull the radiation shield down so that it fully covers the connector on the heater.

Clamp the cable at the thick cable harness on the right hand side of the air cleaner with a tie strap.
