Indoor Unit Overview and Operations

1 Intake grille
Before starting operation, make sure that the intake grille has been
shut completely. Incomplete closing may have an effect on the proper
function or performance of the product.
2 Dual fan
The dual fan moves to the optimum position to suit the main fan
position set with the "Vertical SET" button and "Horizontal SET"
button.
3 Wireless LAN control indicator and buttons
This product has a WLAN adapter as accessory. Installation work
should be outsourced to the store where the unit was purchased, or a
professional installer.
For details, refer to the setting manual.
4 Vertical airfl ow direction louver
Each time you press "Vertical SET" button on the remote controller,
the angle of the vertical airfl ow direction louver moves as follows:

• Do not adjust by hand.
• At the beginning of AUTO or HEAT mode, they may stay on position
1 for a while for adjustment.
• If the angle is set to position 5-8 for more than 30 minutes in COOL
or DRY mode, the louver will automatically return to position 4.
• Keeping the position 5-8 during COOL or DRY mode may cause
condensation to form, and the drops may damage your property.
5 Power diffuser
The angle of the power diffuser will move in conjunction with the
movement of the vertical airfl ow direction louver.
6 "PLASMA AIR CLEAN" indicator (blue)
Lights in plasma air clean operation.
• Blinks slowly when it is time to clean the plasma air clean unit.
• Blinks if the intake grille is open or if the plasma air clean unit is wet
or dirty.
7 "FILTER CLEAN" indicator (yellow)
Lights in fi lter clean operation.
• Blinks slowly when it is time to clean the dust box.
8 "ECONOMY" indicator (green)
Lights in economy operation and in 10 °C HEAT operation.
9 "TIMER" indicator (orange)
Lights in timer operation, and blinks slowly when the timer setting
error is detected.
For details, refer to "Auto-restart function" on page 9.
10 "OPERATION" indicator (green)
Lights in normal operation, and blinks slowly in Automatic defrosting
operation.
11 Remote controller signal receiver
For appropriate signal transmission between remote controller
and indoor unit, keep the signal receiver away from the follow-
ing items:
- Direct sunlight or other strong lights
- Flat-panel television screen
In rooms with instantaneous fl uorescent lights, such as
inverter type ones, the signal may not be transmitted properly.
In such a case, consult the store of purchase.

Each time you press the "Horizontal SET" button on the remote
controller, the airfl ow direction range of the horizontal airfl ow direction
louver will change as follows:

13 Human Sensor
Used for Energy Saving Function. Controls temperature setting by
detecting people in the room.
14 Plasma air clean unit
Collects fi ne particles such as pollen and house dust (right side of
indoor unit only)
