Setting the emissivity

Installation of VisionWin software
The latest version of VisionWin software has been tested on a computer with Windows XP32Bit. The
installation with other operating systems is possible but it can lead to error messages and/or the
software will not be supported. Before installing or prior to proceeding with any action administrative
access is required, please make sure that you are logged into Windows under an account with the
status "Administrator" or at least with administrator rights.
Please start the program "Setup-VisionWin" provided on the supplied CD/DVD to install the software
VisionWin for the necessary driver to operate Metis vision devices. Please note that Setup will run
subsidiary Setups. If messages are displayed saying the driver to install failed the WindowsXP Logo
test please continue to install the driver otherwise a proper function of the software is not given.
Please make sure that the software VisionWin is installed first, this should only take a few sec-
onds. The installation of the drivers can take several minutes.
After installation please restart the computer.

If there is a window between the measurement
object and the camera the emissivity that must be
set on the camera can be calculated as follows:

Emissivity of the measurement object x degree
of transmission of the window x 100 = the
emissivity factor that must be set in percent.
