Install the darning plate.

Darning

- Turn the stitch length dial to the desired
length.
- Turn the stitch selector to straight stitch,
center the needle position.
- Position the fabric to be darned under
the presser foot together with the under
laying fabric to be used.
- Lower the presser foot and sew
alternately forward and reverse using
the lever.
- Repeat this motion until the area to be
darned is filled with rows of stitches.
