Installation and programming

The external door entry phone is connected by means of a two-core cable to a device connection
point on a company switchboard. This is shown diagrammatically in the connection diagram.
The unit can be programmed to operate in 'hotline' or 'auto-dialling' mode.
This is achieved as follows:
Hotline
• Dial a unit from any (DTMF) phone.
• The unit answers the call with a 1-second tone.
• Now enter a * ; the unit will beep again.

• Then enter a (hash key).
• The connection is now broken automatically; the unit is now ready for use.
Auto-dialling
• Dial the external door entry phone from any (DTMF) phone.
• The unit answers the call with a 1-second tone.
• Now enter a * * (the unit generates another beep).
• Then enter the desired phone number and close with a
After receipt of this # the number is stored and another beep is sent.

If the unit detects an operating error, an error tone is generated (an interrupted beep lasting
2.5 seconds).
