230 V socket

230 V power socket : is located behind the
driver's seat on the front of the kitchen cup-
board.
The 230 V socket is ready for use as soon as the
230 V power supply is connected and the resid-
ual current circuit breaker is switched on.
i The 230 V socket is childproofed. When
inserting plugs, a slight resistance is notice-
able.
Residual current circuit breaker
Residual current circuit breaker and 230 V power
socket
The residual current circuit breaker is located
behind the driver's seat on the front side of the
kitchen cupboard.
The residual current circuit breaker switches off
automatically:
in the event of a residual current of 30 mA –

(occupant protection)
when the mains supply circuit is overloaded
R
(over 13 A) or short circuit (cable protection)

To switch on/off: set the connection termi-
nal to desired position 1 or 2.
i Check the residual current circuit breaker
every six months and every time the 230 V
power supply is connected.

To test the residual current circuit
breaker: set the connection terminal to posi-
tion 1.

Press test button =.
The connection terminal should trip to posi-
tion 2.

To reset, set the connection terminal to posi-
tion 1.

WARNING
If the power supply cable is too long or has too
small a cross-section, it can become very hot.
This also applies to incorrect handling of cable
drums. There is a risk of fire.
Only use extension cables, with a cross-
R
section of at least 2.5 mm² and a maximum
length of 25 m.
Mercedes-Benz recommends you use a
R
power supply cable from the accessories
range for your vehicle.
If using a cable reel, extend the cable fully.

230 V power is supplied via a plug and socket
arrangement, in accordance with CEE 17 (Euro-
pean standard). The power supply cable is an
accessory. You can obtain it from a Mercedes-
Benz Service Centre.
The 230 V power socket is located, together
with the fresh water filler neck, behind a service
flap in the rear area on the driver's side.
