4.1

Front Panel Calibration

To calibrate the indicator using the front panel, do the
following:
1. Place the indicator in setup mode (display
reads
) and remove all weight from
CONFIG
the scale platform. If your test weights require
hooks or chains, place the hooks or chains on
the scale for zero calibration.
2. Press
until the display reads
Figure 4-1). Press

).
3. With

zero. The indicator displays

4. With
displayed, place test weights on

value. Use the procedure shown in Figure 4-2
to enter the actual test weight, then press
save the value and go to span calibration

5. With

span. The indicator displays
calibration is in progress. When complete, the

NOTE: If millivolt calibration is enabled, press
ENTER to display and edit millivolt value at span
weight, press ENTER again to calibrate and display
raw A/D count, press ENTER the third time to move
to the next selection.
6. Five-point linearization (using the WLIN
parameter) provides increased scale accuracy
by calibrating the indicator at up to five
additional points between the zero and span
calibrations.
Linearization is optional: if you choose not to
perform
linearization,
parameter; if linearization values have
previously been entered, these values are reset
to zero during calibration. To perform
linearization, follow the procedure below:

Repeat for up to five linearization points. To
exit the linearization parameters, press
return to WLIN.
NOTE: If millivolt calibration is enabled press
ENTER to display and edit the test weight value, press
ENTER again to display and edit the millivolt value
for that weight, press ENTER again to calibrate and
display the raw A/D count, press ENTER again to
move to the next calibration point.
7. The rezero function is used to remove a
calibration offset when hooks or chains are
used to hang the test weights.
If no other apparatus was used to hang the
test weights during calibration, remove
the test weights and press
the CALIBR menu.
If hooks or chains were used during
calibration, remove these and the test
weights from the scale. With all weight
removed, press
function adjusts the zero and span
calibration values. The indicator displays
