TrICKLE CHArGING:

During trickle charging, the charging current is
automatically adjusted in such a way that the
battery voltage is constantly kept at 13.8 V. As
soon as the charging current reaches a value of
200 mA or the process lasts for more than an hour,
the device automatically switches to maintenance
mode. The „ Erhalten " (refresh) LED goes out
and the „ Fertig " (Finished) LED lights up; at the
same time the „ Pfl ege " (Maintenance) LED
fl ashes (battery activator).
MAINTENANCE PrOCEss:
(BATTErY ACTIVATOr)
During the maintenance process, a charging current
pulse of approx. 80 A lasting for 100 µs is applied
to the battery every 30 seconds; this counteracts
any sulphate deposits on the lead plates and
breaks down any deposits which may exist. Such
crystal lised sulphate deposits are produced in
particular in lead batteries which are stored for a
lengthy period of time or are only rarely used or
have low currents applied (e.g. during the winter).
Battery maintenance lasts for around an hour. If
the battery voltage drops below 12 V here, the
device starts a completely new program procedure.
Have any damaged, loose, detached or defective
parts repaired or replaced at a specialist repair
workshop.
Do not place the charger and battery on furniture
or sensitive surfaces. The feet of the device and the
temperature of the housing may cause pressure
points or staining on sensitive surfaces.

or whether the mains or charging cable is damaged.
Check whether any parts are broken, loose or de-
tached.
Do not use the device if a part is damaged or
defective.
