3.4.3. Filter cycle (3-cycles operation)

Service — normal use
Untreated water is directed down through the media and up through the riser tube. The impurities are
retained by the media. The water is filtered as it passes through the media.
Backwash — cycle C1
The flow of water is reversed by the valve and directed down through the riser tube and up through
the media. During the backwash cycle, the media is expanded and debris is flushed to the drain.
Rapid rinse — cycle C2
The valve directs water down through the media and up through the riser tube to the drain. The media
is recompacted.
