Troubleshooting
When a malfunction occurs, it may not be serious and can be corrected easily. The following describes the
most common problems and solutions. Please refer to the following before calling your DVR dealer
Problem:
Unit is not receiving power, or is not powering up
Check:
Confirm that all cables are connected correctly
Confirm that there is power at the outlet:
- Connecting the power cable to another outlet
- Test the outlet with another plugged device (such as an electric calculator or phone charger)
- If the unit is connected through a power bar or surge protector, try bypassing the bar and connecting the
power directly to the wall outlet
Problem:
Unit is not responding when any of the buttons are pushed
Check:
Confirm that the unit is not under Key Lock mode
Press any key, and enter the default password 111111 (or the current password)
Turn off the unit. Wait 30 seconds and turn the unit back on.
Problem:
No video has been recorded by the unit
Check:
Confirm that the Hard Drive has been installed correctly
