Does the ProLine model E-PL800 have a battery backup and if so where is it located? Our power went out for 6 hours but the sprinkler system time stayed correct. Want to know should I need to replace it. No mention in manual.

The Weathermatic ProLine PL800 does not use a traditional battery backup for time and date. Instead, it uses a Real Time Clock/Calendar and non-volatile memory to maintain settings during power outages. A 9-volt battery can be connected in the compartment behind the front panel to view and program the panel when it is open or removed from the housing.
