DMZ
Note:
This feature disables automatically if WAN connection is in BRIDGE mode.
The DMZ Host is a local computer exposed to the Internet. When setting a particular internal IP
address as the DMZ Host, all incoming packets will be checked by the Firewall and NAT algorithms
then passed to the DMZ host, when a packet received does not use a port number used by any other
Virtual Server entries.
DMZ for: Indicate the related WAN interface which allows outside network to connect in and
communicate.
DMZ:
Enabled: It activates your DMZ function.
Disabled: It disables the DMZ function.
DMZ Host IP Address: Give a static IP address to the DMZ Host when Enabled radio button is
checked. Be aware that this IP will be exposed to the WAN/Internet.
Select the Save button to apply your changes.
Except Ports: Commonly, all incoming packets will be passed to the DMZ host after being checked by
the Firewall and NAT algorithms. But if a packet matching the rules set under "except ports", it will be
passed on to virtual server or dropped when no matches found in virtual server.
Port: Set the port to be monitored.
Protocol: Choose the protocol to be monitored.
Description: The description given to the DMZ exception rule .
Click Add to add except rules.
