Printer/Parallel Connector J8

Connector J8 is the Printer/Parallel port on the MVME712-10. Each pin
connection, signal mnemonic, and signal characteristic for the connector is
listed in Table 3-4.

Signal Name and Description
DATA STROBE (Printer) - an active low output
pulse used to clock data from the system to the
printer.
DATA (bits 0-7) (Printer)
DATA ACKNOWLEDGE (Printer) - a low level
input pulse indicating that the next character may
be sent.
BUSY (Printer) - an input signal indicating that the
printer cannot receive data.
PAPER EMPTY (Printer) - out of paper.
SELECTED (Printer) - an input signal indicating
that the printer is selected.
Not used.
FAULT (Printer) - an input signal that indicates a
printer fault condition.
INPUT PRIME (Printer) - an output signal that
clears the printer buffer and initializes the logic.
Not used.
