INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1.
MARK HORIZONTAL LINES
ON DOOR AND DOOR EDGE
Measure desired height from finished
floor, both sides and edge of door.

NOTE: If mortise for strike has already
been made, measure 21/a" down from
center of strike to locate centerline of
knob or lever.

MARK DRILL POINTS
Align template on edge of door with
applicable horizontal at height line.
Mark for position of holes for lock
function.

CAUTION: The outside and inside of
door may require different prepara-
tion. READ INSTRUCTIONS THOR-
OUGHLY, and use proper template for
OUTSIDE {exterior or corridor side
and INSIDE of door.

STRIKE INSTALLATION
Align strike template on
jamb. Be sure to match
centerline on both strike

4½" DEEP BY 6¾" HIGH

Align template with centerline door
edge and locate on centerline of knob
or lever (or cylinder hole when
applicable).

INSTALL LOCK CASE
Optional= 1 1 /1s" x B"x 7 /s2"
Recess to
templates. Bore 1"

A. Adjust for door bevel by
loosening (2) screws on top
and bottom of lock case.
Position faceplate tabs at
correct angle and tighten
dimensions of
lock face.

INSTALL SPINDLE TRIM INSTALLATION (ROSE TRIM) LEVERS
Insert inside and outside spindles and
springs so that pin stop (see arrow) is
in contact with the hub oflock case.

DRILL PROPER HOLES FOR
TRIM AND LOCK FUNCTION
(Rose trim preparation shown)

NOTE: Forthru holes, drill halfway
from each side of door (to prevent
splintering or otherwise damaging
doors).
B. Insert lock case into mortise
cutout (armor front removed)
and fasten to door.

Catch screw must always be on
inside of lock chassis. {See other
side for changing hand of lock.)

A. Thread screw posts onto
outside rose.
B. Place spring cage onto screw
posts with arrows pointing in
direction of lever rotation.
C.
Install outside trim onto
spindle with screw posts
thru holes in lock case.
