Video Select button
Use the button to select video input source. The sequence is:

Audio Select button
Use the button to select audio input source. The sequence is:
Analog audio (Jack)
Embedded audio
Analog audio (Phoenix)

Embedded audio is coming from the digital video input port (HDMI / DP / DVI-D) which is
currently selected. If analog video input signal (VGA / DVI-A) is selected which cannot contain
embedded audio, this source will be skipped.

Restore factory default settings
1. Keep the Show Me button pressed for 10 seconds; after 5 seconds front panel LEDs
start to blink but keep the button pressed; the LEDs start to blink faster 5 seconds later.
2. Release the button, then press it 3 times quickly; the following factory default settings
are restored:

Software control – Using Lightware Device Controller (LDC)
The device can be controlled from a computer through the Ethernet or
RS-232 ports using Lightware Device Controller. Please download the
application from www.lightware.eu, install on a Windows PC or a Mac OS X
and connect to the device via the Ethernet or RS-232 port.
 The default IP address of the device is: 192.168.0.100, DHCP is disabled.
Set dynamic IP address (DHCP)
1. Keep the Show Me button pressed for 5 seconds; all front panel LEDs start to blink.
2. Release the button, then press it 3 times quickly. DHCP is now enabled.

GPIO - General purpose input/output ports
UMX-HDMI-140 switcher has seven GPIO pins which operate at TTL digital signal levels and
can be set to high or low level (Push-Pull). The direction of the pins can be input or output
(adjustable). Voltage ranges for GPIO inputs are the following:

Audio cable wiring guide
UMX-HDMI-140 switcher is built with 5-pole Phoenix input connector. See below a few
examples of the most common assembling cases.

Firmware upgrade
Lightware Device Updater (LDU) is an easy and comfortable tool to keep your
device up-to-date. Steps of firmware upgrade are the following:
1. Download and install LDU software from the company's website
www.lightware.eu.
2. Get the latest firmware package from Lightware Support (support@lightware.eu).
3. Establish the connection between the extender and the computer over LAN.
4. Start LDU software and select the Extender mode.
5. Load the new firmware file.

6. Please read the displayed instructions related to this model.
7. Select your upgradeable device.
8. Review the list of selected devices. Please set "Factory reset" option as disabled to avoid

settings loss. If you want to set all settings to default values, enable this option.
9. Start firmware upgrade.
10. Please wait until it is completed and device is rebooted.
11. Ready.
 In certain cases new firmware version requires a factory reset to apply all new
features in the device. In this case "Factory reset" option is enabled by default and not
changeable by the user.
