Turning off the engine
To turn off the engine, rotate the ignition key to the OFF-position.
Shifting
1. Release the parking brake.
1. Push the brake pedal and press the rear of the
gearshift pedal with your heel to shift into first gear.
Release the hand brake, engage the clutch and
gradually compress the throttle lever. Once you have reached the right velocity, engage
second gear. Select third, fourth and fifth gear in succession by repeating this sequence.
2. Reduce speed by releasing the throttle, braking as necessary and shifting down to a
lower gear. This is performed by pressing downward on the front of the gearshift pedal.
Shifting into reverse
Follow these steps:
1. Bring the ATV to a complete stop.
2. Shift the transmission into the first gear.
3. Move the reverse lever to the right and push down the gearshift pedal.
!! CAUTION !!
Always come to a complete stop before attempting to shift from one range to the
other or into reverse. Always shift on level ground. If this is not possible, engage the
parking brake.

Braking
Please note that new brake pads have to be prepared. Don't put yourself into situations that
require an immediate braking unless the brake pads are working properly (this may result in
serious accidents!)
When using the hydraulic brakes, you must be familiar with the following points:
Note: Further information on how to maintain the hydraulic brake system can be found in
the „General Maintenance" booklet.
1. The brake fluid is the most important part of the system. Keep an eye on the right level. If
there's some kind of dirt in the brake system or the brake fluid, the fluid has to be changed.
(Impurities in the brake fluid lower the boiling point).
2. Never „ride" the brake. Even maintaining minimal pressure on the brake lever will cause
the brake pads to drag on the disc.
3. The footbrake is the main brake for the ATV.
Excessive repetitive use of the hydraulic brake for high speed stops will cause overheating of
the brake fluid and premature brake pad wear.
Use only DOT 4 brake liquid. Don't use several types of brake liquids which may result in an
unexpected loss of brakes. Before starting your ATV check the brake liquid level and the
state of the brake pads.
3. In order to stop the vehicle, release the throttle control, push the brake pedal and shift
into a lower gear.
