Chapter 1 Introduction Overview The SuperServer 6028R-TDWNR is a 2U server comprised of two main subsystems: the SC826BAC4-R920WB chassis and the X10DDW-iN serverboard. Please refer to our website for information on operating systems that have been certified for use with the system (www.supermicro.com).
The rear I/O ports include one VGA (monitor) port, two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 At the heart of the SuperServer 6028R-TDWNR lies the X10DDW-iN, a dual proces- ports, two Gb LAN ports and a dedicated IPMI LAN port.
Chapter 2: Server Installation Chapter 2 Server Installation Overview This chapter provides a quick setup checklist to get your 6028R-TDWNR up and running. Following these steps in the order given should enable you to have the system operational within a minimum amount of time. This quick setup assumes that your system has come to you with the processors and memory preinstalled.

Chapter 3: System Interface Chapter 3 System Interface Overview There are several LEDs on the control panel as well as others on the drive carri- ers to keep you constantly informed of the overall status of the system as well as the activity and health of specific components.
Chapter 3: System Interface UPER ERVER 6028R-TDWNR User's Manual Control Panel LEDs The control panel located on the front of the chassis has several LEDs. These LEDs provide you with critical information related to different parts of the system. NIC2 This section explains what each LED indicates when illuminated and any corrective action you may need to take.
UPER ERVER 6028R-TDWNR User's Manual NVMe The NVM Express ports provide high-speed, low-latency connections directly from the CPU to NVMe Solid State drives (SSDs). This greatly increases SSD throughput and significantly reduces storage device latency by simplifying driver and software requirements resulting from the direct PCI-E interface between the CPU and the NVMe SSD drives.
Only certified technicians should attempt to install or configure components. Read this appendix in its entirety before installing or configuring components in the Supermicro chassis.
