Table 3-1 gives a quick overview of the VX-6000d installation process. The sections
following this one provide detailed instructions.
Installation should be performed by a qualified custom video

Step
Choose a location for the projector

If installing a VX-6000d/CineWide or
VX-6000d/CineWide with AutoScope: Install AutoScope

lens motor or fixed CineWide base plate
Mount the projector

Connect the DHD Controller to the projector
4
Connect signal sources to the DHD Controller
5
Connect external controller to RS-232 port (optional)
6
Connect 12-volt trigger outputs to AutoScope lens motor
7
and/or other equipment (optional)
Connect projector, DHD Controller and lens motor (if
8
present) to AC power and power up
Primary Lens adjustments: projected image size (zoom),
9
position (shift) and focus
For rear-screen and/or ceiling-mount installations, select
10
the proper picture orientation
Install CineWide anamorphic lens (optional)

CineWide lens adjustments: position, pitch (angle),
12
geometry and focus
Projector calibration: adjust the following for each input;
save settings when finished:
• Aspect ratio
• Brightness

• Contrast
• Color level
• Tint
• Input position
