STARTING THE ENGINE

WARNING! The following procedures must be carried out before you start the engine of your lawnmower.

Starting the engine
1. Make sure that your mower is
on a safe, flat area (a paved area
or path is ideal - avoid thick wet
grass and gravel surfaces) away
from fuel or fueling area to
make starting safe.
2. Press the fuel primer bulb
3 times.

3. Firmly hold the brake handle
with one hand, and then with
your other hand pull the cord
slowly until you feel resistance.
Then pull vigorously with one
positive action (Fig. 7). Guide the
cord back to it's rest position (do
not release).
4. To restart a hot engine, refer to
'Point 3', as priming should not
be necessary.
5. To turn off your mower, release
the brake handle.
