TOOL PREPARATION Your lawn mower is currently configured in transport mode. The handlebar (1) is folded forward and is held in place by the cutting height control knob (13) and the handlebar adjustment levers (8). Follow the start-up instructions below to begin to use your lawn mower. -

TOOL PREPARATION - Lock the two adjusting levers (8) to lock the handlebar in the desired position (six positions are shown on clamping nut, detail A). - Adjust the tightness with the knob (detail B). To be able to easily manoeuvre your lawn mower, chose a comfortable and agreeable working position to suit your morphology . -

TOOL PREPARATION INSTALLATION OF A BATTERY HOLDER The mower is fitted at the base with a 1500 battery holder A different battery holder can be fitted if a ULIB 400 / 700 / 800 / 1100 battery is used. - Remove the 4 screws holding the battery holder (12) in place. -

TOOL PREPARATION FITTING THE 400 / 700 / 800 / 1100 BATTERY - Check the charge of the battery (20) before use. Recharge the battery, when necessary, using the charger (19) provided with the battery. - Slide the battery (20) from the front as far as the upper hooks on the battery support (12). -

TOOL PREPARATION - Connect the adaptor cable for the 1500 battery (24) to the battery connector (20) taking care to align the locators. To prolong the life of the connectors, they should be protected when unplugged . So avoid letting them come into contact with abrasive or dirty surfaces, or subjecting them to major impacts (falls) . -

TOOL PREPARATION IMMOBILISER SYSTEM a. Security key: This lawn mower is fitted with a key immobiliser system that prevents the motor from starting if the key is not in its socket .This system helps to limit the risks of accidents and theft . - Insert the security key (23) into the socket (22). CAUTION: Take the security key with you whenever you step away from the lawn mower or your work is finished. USING THE TOOL ACCELERATION AND HANDLING OF THE TOOL Several controls can be used to make the lawn mower move forwards, backwards, turn or activate/ deactivate the turning of the cutting blades. These controls can either be used independently from each other or in combination. -

ACCELERATION AND HANDLING OF THE TOOL ACTIVATING / DEACTIVATING THE DECLUTCHING OF THE REAR WHEELS You do not necessarily need the motor to be on or even the battery to be in operation in order to move the lawn mower. To do this, you need to uncouple the rear wheels from the motor: Activating the declutching of the rear wheels - Pull on the 'Locking knob' (17) for each of the rear wheels to uncouple them from the motor. -

MAINTENANCE USEFUL ADVICE FOR RISK FREE MAINTENANCE Maintenance on the different parts of the lawn mower is important, it will ensure the length of its service life. CAUTION: Always disconnect the lawn mower from the battery before working on the cutting blades . Always turn off and remove the battery before cleaning the lawn mower with a water jet . -
