Is a foreign object present along the paper path, or is
the paper path deformed or worn?

• The leading edge of the paper does not block the sensor in front of tim. roller
(PC1) even after the lapse of a given period of time after the paper feed clutch
(CL5) has been energized.
• Rise timing of load for registration is earlier than the one for making the loop
at front of the registration roller at bypass feed.
• For paper fed from the manual bypass, TOD permit continues to be disabled
for a predetermined period of time after the timing of TOD output.
