Basic connections and settings

Recording a digital signal

Connections
Connect your digital device to the digital input connector.
Sample rate select switch
Set this to match the sample rate of your digital playback device and the sample rate
of your recording software.
If you change the UA-25's sample rate, you must disconnect the USB cable that
connects the UA-25 to your computer, and then re-connect the USB cable in order
for the new setting to take effect.
Digital input switch
Turn this on so that the UA-25 will synchronize to the digital signal being input to
the digital input connector.
When synchronized correctly, the sync indicator will light red. If this indicator is
blinking red, synchronization has not been achieved.
Other notes
The direct monitor volume control will have no effect.

If you want to record at 96 kHz, you must set the 96 kHz REC/PLAY
switch to 96 kHz REC (record).
Specify the sample rate
Set this to match the sample rate of your
digital playback device.
