Master output jacks (phone type, RCA phono type)
These are analog audio output jacks. The phone jacks and RCA phono jacks output
the same sound. You may use whichever type of jack is appropriate for the
connected device or the type of cable.

Digital output connector (optical)
Use this connector when you want to digitally output an audio signal to a digital
audio device such as MD or DAT. Use an optical cable to make connections.

Digital input connector (optical)
Use this connector when you want to digitally input an audio signal from a digital
audio device such as CD, MD, or DAT. Use an optical cable to make connections.

MIDI IN/OUT connectors

You can connect these to the MIDI connectors of your MIDI device to transmit and
receive MIDI messages.
* The MIDI IN/OUT connectors are not available if you are using Standard driver mode (p. 13).

Limiter switch
This turns the UA-25's hardware limiter on/off.
If a sudden, high-volume sound is input to the combo input jacks (1), the limiter
applies mild compression to prevent clipping from occurring at the AD converter.
* Clipping noise will be heard if the input signal exceeds the capacity of the limiter.
