Important announcement
Before using a USB 2.0 compatible audio interface, you must perform one of the two
actions listed below. If you're using Windows XP SP2, you may simply proceed.
• Update to Windows XP SP2 (recommended)
• Install the update module into Windows XP SP1
Caution!
If you do not install this, an excessive load will be placed on the CPU while
recording and playing audio, and the system will not operate correctly.
A. Checking your Windows XP version (SP1 or SP2)

Click the start menu, and right-click My Computer.

Click Properties, and the System Properties dialog box will appear.

Check the indication in the System area.
If this shows Service Pack 2, Windows XP SP2 is installed. You may simply
proceed.
If this shows Service Pack 1, Windows XP SP1 is installed. You will have to
update.
Next, proceed to B. Updating Windows XP SP1 (p. 2).

Right-click usbehci.sys, and choose Properties from the menu that appears. * Windows Explorer is located in the Windows start menu ➔ All Programs ➔ Accessories.
