Ensure the following steps are completed if the Stairville BossFX-1 laser does not work after turning it on and selecting an auto laser program:

1. Verify that all required laser safety precautions are taken.
2. Ensure the safety key is inserted and turned to the 'ON' position.
3. Check that the device is properly connected to the mains.
4. Make sure the foot switch is turned on.
5. Confirm that the required interlock switch (e.g., emergency stop switch) is properly connected, as the laser will not function without it.
6. If the issue persists, check the main menu settings and confirm the correct operation mode is selected.

If the laser still does not work, inspect the interlock plug to ensure it is correctly configured as per safety requirements.
