TROUBLESHOOTING

Before taking your camera to the repair shop, check the following table for a
possible solution to the problem.
No power.

The digital
camera turns off
by itself.
An image is not
captured when
the shutter
release button is
pressed.

Problem
The batteries
are dead.
The batteries
have not been
inserted
correctly.
The battery
compartment
cover is not fully
closed.
The power save
function is
operating.
The power is not
turned on.
Cause
Replace the
batteries.
Reinsert the
batteries,
making sure to
orient them
correctly.
Close battery
compartment
cover properly.
Press the power
button, shutter
release button,
MENU button,
or SET button
once.
If the power
save function
has turned the
digital camera
off, then press
the power
button, shutter
release button,
MENU button,
or SET button
once to turn the
digital camera
back on. If the
power is turned
off, press the
power button.
